Hallie, thank you so much!!!!!

Last night I received a lovely box from my ornament swap partner, Hallie! We joined the Natural Suburbia ornament swap at the beginning of October and oh my goodness these snow men are just darling!!! I have a slight obsession with knickknacks and quirky little things so I have a feeling these little guys will find a home all year round out on display instead of being packed away when the winter ends.

I love all the wonderful things you can do with wood!!! This reminded me of some earrings I wanted to make. I picked up a pair of pink wooden star earrings probably a year or two ago. I don't remember where but I believe I bought them mostly because I wanted to recreate them.

I'm starting to doubt I'll be able to come up with the balance I need for school. I'm extremely bummed out about it and I really don't want to spend another winter with nothing to do...it seems whenever I try to move forward with my life I get pushed back a few feet. I'm supposed to start in 12 days. Unless I get a miracle, I'll be spending a lot of time twirling my thumbs hoping my case will settle. I wish I could work. I'm so sick of being in pain. I wish I had family that was supportive of me going back to school and would cosign loans for me. I'm surrounded by people who want and expect me to fail.

Man, if I ever needed a miracle...now would be a great time.

Happy Halloween!

Just a bit of how I looked this evening. It rained when I went out trick-or-treating with my little brother, Matt and mom so the make-up doesn't show well...oh well...

I am screwed...

Please please please share my page with as many people as you can. I need all the help I can get.

I spoke with my advisor this morning...I need to come up with $2525 by 11/11 and then another $2700 by 11/21...all of which federal aid does not cover. I'm begging for just a dollar from everyone. I've never wanted something so bad in my life. I just want a chance to start over. I really got the shit hand of the deck back in February when everything happened. I'm so sick of being stuck in my head and tearing myself apart every day. I just want to go back to school. I've tried applying for so many loans and my parents won't cosign and the people that will get denied right along with me.

Please Please Please... ='[

I'm on my way to being a college student!

This afternoon I sent in my enrollment fee and I am so very extremely excited beyond belief. I've never wanted a weekend to come and go so quickly in my life. My FAFSA application was received and reviewed but I cannot see it or know how much financial aid I was approved until I speak with my admissions advisor on Monday. I CANNOT wait to talk to him. It will probably be the earliest phone call I have ever or will ever make in my life. I definitely plan on calling him bright and early at 9:00am. I start November 21st so sometime between now and then I will get my Launchbox which includes my Macbook Pro and all the good software for online schooling as well ad everything I will need for mobile development. I finally got a breakdown of how much each semester is. Semesters 1 and 2 are $5500 each. Semesters 3 and 4 jump up to $8500 each because that is when I get my iPad and some type of Android phone sent to me. Semesters 5 and 6 are $7650 each and semesters 7 and 8 are $6500. That's a good ol' $57,000 education not including extra expenses I rack up trying to get out of this horrible place I currently live in. I plan on finding a safe place to live and make my own home for once. I'll be stuck with a TON of loans but I really need to be in a safe and loving place and unfortunately living with my family is neither of those.

Anyways...if anyone would like to do any last minute 2011 tax write-offs, I've made a PayPal that is my little tuition fund. Any amount is GREATLY appreciated and believe it or not is tax-deductable.

I've been in so much pain over the past year and just can't wait to get back on my feet. I'm 22 years old, have experienced an extremely painful life-altering accident and don't get to experience college the traditional way but I'm going to make the best of it. I just hope my legal woes of being the victim of a hit and run don't get too much in the way of trying to restart my life in a way I never planned on...in the form of a white-collar life instead of touring and building stages and pretty much being a rockstar. =\

I like this place so much I decided to move in as well!

I've followed a wonderful page here for quite some time now.  I am quite a fan of this talented woman named Linda.  She runs the Natural Suburbia blog.  I have learned quite a bit from her and I strongly suggest everyone to stop by her page and take a nice long look at everything she has to offer.  If it wasn't for her, I probably wouldn't be here right now.

I recently joined a Christmas ornament swap that she hosted.  It was such a great experience.  For my partner, Hallie, I created two mini wreaths for my partner and gave a few ideas of how she could use them.  I'm so very happy she received them safe in sound.  She wrote to me this afternoon saying she plans to use them to accent some homemade candles.  She too has a lovely blog that is just wonderful to read as well.

I'm so very excited to meet new people here and to learn from each and every one of you.  I've thought long and hard about joining here for no other reason than whether or not I could really commit to it or not.  Be warned, you will hear about my ups and downs, rants and raves and a little bit of this and a little bit of that.

So let me just get you caught up with my life before the next time I post.  Up until February 6, 2011, I pretty much had a really great, easy life.  That day I was hit by a car.  It was a hit and run but the driver turned them self in the next day.  Of course now they are trying to fight it AFTER they turned them self in.  Smart, right?  I have nerve damage to both my elbows, preventing me from working the most wonderful job I could ever have asked for.  Right out of high school I was given the opportunity to work for IATSE building stages for concerts that came to town.  I pretty much got to be a rock star without most of the negatives that come with it.  So, with my non-working elbows I've been out of work, I don't qualify for disability and have no money coming in while I wait for the case to process and get a settlement blah blah blah. With that said...

Anyways, I am in the process of getting everything together to start school at the end of November.  I'm going for my Bachelors of Science in the mobile development program through Full Sail University online.  I'm looking forward to getting a fresh start with a marvelous education while I work on getting better and getting back on my feet.

So keep your seat belts buckled...If you'll let me, I'm here to stay.

Until next time...
