I've followed a wonderful page here for quite some time now. I am quite a fan of this talented woman named Linda. She runs the Natural Suburbia blog. I have learned quite a bit from her and I strongly suggest everyone to stop by her page and take a nice long look at everything she has to offer. If it wasn't for her, I probably wouldn't be here right now.
I recently joined a Christmas ornament swap that she hosted. It was such a great experience. For my partner, Hallie, I created two mini wreaths for my partner and gave a few ideas of how she could use them. I'm so very happy she received them safe in sound. She wrote to me this afternoon saying she plans to use them to accent some homemade candles. She too has a lovely blog that is just wonderful to read as well.
I'm so very excited to meet new people here and to learn from each and every one of you. I've thought long and hard about joining here for no other reason than whether or not I could really commit to it or not. Be warned, you will hear about my ups and downs, rants and raves and a little bit of this and a little bit of that.
So let me just get you caught up with my life before the next time I post. Up until February 6, 2011, I pretty much had a really great, easy life. That day I was hit by a car. It was a hit and run but the driver turned them self in the next day. Of course now they are trying to fight it AFTER they turned them self in. Smart, right? I have nerve damage to both my elbows, preventing me from working the most wonderful job I could ever have asked for. Right out of high school I was given the opportunity to work for IATSE building stages for concerts that came to town. I pretty much got to be a rock star without most of the negatives that come with it. So, with my non-working elbows I've been out of work, I don't qualify for disability and have no money coming in while I wait for the case to process and get a settlement blah blah blah. With that said...
Anyways, I am in the process of getting everything together to start school at the end of November. I'm going for my Bachelors of Science in the mobile development program through Full Sail University online. I'm looking forward to getting a fresh start with a marvelous education while I work on getting better and getting back on my feet.
So keep your seat belts buckled...If you'll let me, I'm here to stay.
Until next time...
I am very excited to be your first follower!! I'm happy to "meet" you and look forward to following you! :)
